Two strong partners working together

MTU and the German Armed Forces launched their successful maintenance collaboration in 2002. Today, this partnership covers the EJ200 Eurofighter engine, the RB199 Tornado engine and the MTR390 engine for the Tiger combat helicopter.

MTU experts and Bundeswehr specialists work hand in hand on engine maintenance, quality assurance, logistics and service support. MTU’s technical expertise and the Bundeswehr’s operational experience ensure full engine availability with cost-effective activities. This intensive collaboration ensures that the Bundeswehr retains its technological expertise and that MTU has an even better understanding of its partner’s needs.

In the future, MTU also plans to offer full-service concepts that actively involve the customer. The primary aim is to maximize the efficiency of material cycles, turnaround times and engine availability.
