
Ludwigsfelde-based MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg specializes in aircraft engines in the low to medium thrust and power ranges and in industrial gas turbines. The shop to provides service support for Pratt & Whitney Canada engines – the PT6A, PW200, PW300 and PW500 – and General Electric CF34 family engines.
The company is MTU’s center of excellence for the maintenance of industrial gas turbines, with a special focus on the General Electric LM series of gas turbines. MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg boasts one of the world’s largest and most advanced IGT test cells and also has test stands for turboshaft and turbojet engines.
MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg is the location selected to perform production acceptance testing of the TP400-D6 for the new A400M military airlifter and to deliver the engines to customers. The company's test cell, one of the most advanced in the Western world, is the only European production test facility for this engine.
