André Sinanian appointed CEO of MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg

Ludwigsfelde, July 12, 2010 – MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg will have a new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) when on October 1, 2010, André Sinanian (41) takes the helm of the Ludwigsfelde-based MRO specialist. He succeeds Dr. Wolfgang Konrad, who will take on new responsibilities outside MTU.

Sinanian, who holds a degree in aerospace engineering, has been with the company since 1999. He served diverse management and project functions at MTU Aero Engines' various locations before he was appointed Vice President & COO CF34 program two years ago. In this function he was responsible for all activities relating to the maintenance of that highly successful engine family.

MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg specializes in the maintenance of aircraft engines in the lower thrust and power categories, as well as industrial gas turbines. The company is one of the major MRO providers for the CF34 worldwide and has all versions of this engine in its portfolio, including the newest variant -10. The shop boasts the only production test cell to conduct development and acceptance testing of the TP400-D6 engine powering the A400M military airlifter. Assembly of the TP400-D6 production engines is the sole responsibility of the Ludwigsfelde facility.
