MTU’s corporate strategy is geared toward profitable growth and high customer satisfaction.
Learn more about our strategy and financial policy.

Balanced product portfolio

Together with Pratt & Whitney, we have created the most eco-efficient engines for regional and medium-haul aircraft: the Pratt & Whitney GTFTM engine family. Our cutting-edge technology can also be found in long-haul engines such as the GE9X for the Boeing 777X—its turbine center frame is a true MTU masterpiece. Our solid partnerships are reflected in our commercial maintenance business, where we are constantly expanding our product and service portfolio as well as our digital offerings. In the military sector, we are developing the New Generation Fighter Engine (NGFE), a powerful propulsion system for the European fighter jet of the future, in collaboration with Safran Aircraft Engines (France) and ITP Aero (Spain).

Cutting-edge technologies

Our vision is one of emissions-free flight. Key elements are evolutionary enhancements of the gas turbine engine based on the geared turbofan, and completely new, revolutionary propulsion concepts, such as the Revolutionary Turbofan and the Flying Fuel CellTM. Sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and hydrogen play an important role; for example, today’s SAF already have the potential to significantly reduce the aviation industry’s climate impact.

“We aim to invest our liquid funds in new program workshares. This will allow us to continue to grow, and so MTU shares will remain a stable investment with attractive dividends in the future.”

Peter Kameritsch, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer, MTU Aero Engines
