Assembly and testing

MTU is a partner in numerous commercial and military engine programs. As part of its work-share, the company also takes on responsibility for assembly and testing of engines and engine components. It has assembly lines and test facilities at all of its German locations as well as at MTU Maintenance Zhuhai (China) und MTU Maintenance Vancouver (Canada).

The assembly and test specialists are responsible for disassembly and assembly of new or repaired engines, engine modules and industrial gas turbines. They also perform the necessary tests. Further tasks include operations scheduling, planning and quality assurance.

Applicants for jobs in assembly and testing must meet high requirements in terms of technical expertise. Since they will work in an international environment, a good command of the English language is a must; all the more so, since all activities are pursued in close cooperation with the respective program management. External contacts are program partners, military customers, airlines and industrial customers.
