MTU Maintenance do Brasil Ltda.

Based in São Paulo, the wholly-owned MTU Maintenance subsidiary is an ON-SITEPlus service center for aero engines and industrial gas turbines. It offers nearby customers in South America fast and practical services either on-site or at a dedicated workshop.

As a level 1 facility for aero engines, the team can conduct borescope and end-of-lease inspections, replace fan blades, top cases and gearboxes, in addition to repairing and replacing low-pressure and high-pressure compressor vanes. The IGT field service center is equipped with Level 2 tools for on-site work on GE’s LM2500TM  and LM6000TM-PC industrial gas turbines and holds all necessary import and export licenses.

The location has approvals from the Brazilian Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for GE’s CF34, CF6 and GE90 engines, as well as for CFMl’s CFM56 and IAE’s V2500. In 2023, the company also obtained FAA certification for the CFM56 engine.
