Lars Wagner has held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at MTU Aero Engines AG since January 2023. His responsibilities include technology & engineering, human resources, strategy, corporate communications, and legal affairs. In his other role as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), Wagner has also been in charge of MTU’s sustainability organization since May 2022. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Wagner had served as the Executive Board member responsible for technology since January 2018. With a degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering and an MBA, he was named MTU’s Executive Vice President, OEM Operations in July 2015. Wagner previously held a number of management positions at Airbus, including international postings, most recently in Hamburg.

Effective January 2018, Peter Kameritsch has been appointed a member of MTU’s Executive Board with responsibility for the Finance and Information Technology division. Kameritsch has a university background with degrees in Physics and Business Administration and joined MTU in 1999. He worked in various management positions in finance, investor relations and corporate strategy at different MTU locations. Before he became a member of the Executive Board, Kameritsch held the position of Senior Vice President, Finance.

Dr. Silke Maurer has served on the MTU Executive Board as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since February 2023. Her responsibilities include Purchasing, Production, Assembly, and Quality. Before joining the MTU Executive Board, Maurer—who has a degree in mechanical engineering—was Chief Operating Officer at Webasto and at BSH Appliances. Prior to that, she held various management positions at BMW in Germany and abroad.
Michael Schreyögg

Michael Schreyögg was appointed a member of MTU’s Executive Board in July 2013. In his role, he oversees marketing & sales and program management in MTU’s commercial and defense programs, the activities ranging from production and spare parts businesses with OEM partners and military customers to the aftermarket business with airlines. In 2018, the MTU Maintenance locations became part of the CPO’s organization.
A graduate in mechanical engineering, Schreyögg joined MTU in 1990. During his professional career, he held several senior managerial positions, heading up various commercial and military engine programs, before assuming responsibility for all of the company’s defense programs in 2008.
